More advent fun.
Day 6 - Go out to dinner in our Christmas sweaters.
Since the day after Halloween, Molly and Tim have taken turns being ill. It's seriously been a long month and a half, lol. The 6th it was once again Molly's turn to be sick. Ugh. So she unfortunately couldn't join us on this one. We did bring her some food home though. And Grandma Cathy joined us, so that was fun. We went to The Honky Tonk, which is a new bar/restaurant here in town as of a little over a year ago.
Day 7 - Watch a Christmas movie in Mama and Papa's bed.
One of my favorites that we always do. There's just something about having all my babies in are bed watching a movie together that makes my heart sing. I bought soda, snacks, and treats and we settled in to watch "Christmas with the Kranks" which the kids loved!
Day 8 - Find the prize clue game.
Another new game this year! I thought it would be a super fun idea to hide a prize and make up a clue and watch the kids use their brains to try to find it, hahahahah. It was a bit tough, I'll admit. I do admire Timothy's perseverance though! He sure was thinking and trying hard. Molly not so much, lol. She just stood there watching the boys. Anthony wound up finding the gift card and treat tucked away in my tea bin. But the verdict is still out on whether he used his phone to look up the clue and cheat or not. Next year we'll have to say phones on the table! Still a fun night.
Day 9 - Bake cookies and decorate at Gma Cathy's house.
Most every Friday we go to Grandma Cathy's for dinner. This was a fun evening. I brought everything we needed to make peanut butter blossom cookies and Timothy was my helper. When we were done with the cookies, Gma Cathy and I strung new lights on her little tree and the kiddos got to work decorating it.
Day 10 - Get $10 to spend at the Bazaar.
So I forgot to take a photo of the kiddos with their $ walking around the bazaar deciding what to purchase, but every year we like to give them a little bit of spending money to enjoy at the bazaar. There's always so many goodies to look at, and it's a good lesson on making decisions and spending money wisely. I'm unsure what Molly bought, but Anthony and Timothy both bought these mini pies in a skillet and devoured them straight away, lol.
