TOLO

Yesterday evening, Molly addended TOLO with her friend Jaydee. TOLO is where girls ask the boys to the dance. Well, there wasn't anyone Molly wanted to ask, so she went with her friend, which is awesome. We dropped her off in town at Jaydee's house to get ready, and Jaydee's mom took these photos of the girls all beautiful and ready for some dancing fun! I love Molly's dress, especially the sleeves.

The girls both said they enjoyed their night and ultimately were very happy they chose to go together.

Tim Ear Piercing

For awhile now, after Molly, Sam, and myself all got our ears pierced, Timothy has been thinking about getting his ears pierced as well. Today he finally took the plunge! We took him to see the best in the whole Columbia River Gorge area, Terry, at Society Piercing in White Salmon, WA.

Only one adult was allowed in the room, so I sent Sammy. And we weren't allowed to take photos of the process, which is totally ok, so I only have photos of the final results. Timothy chose a stunning pair of pink diamond shaped crystal earrings and he looks AMAZING! He said it only hurt for a second, and afterwards his ears only felt a bit hot. But he was given a cleaning spray which not only works well to keep the new piercings clean, but helps to take the firing bite away as well.

He is incredibly happy with his decision to get his ears pierced, and pleased with his choice of earrings. I am beyond proud that he feels comfortable and confident within himself, no matter what others might have to say about pierced ears on boys, to go ahead and make the best decision for himself. The one that will bring happiness to his life.

You kick ass, Timothy!

With love,                                                                                                       Mama Hauck

Valentines Day

As with every Valentine's Day, I made Sammy and the kid's their very own homemade Valentine. I brainstorm for weeks about what I might do for each of them. I've really enjoyed making them one each year. I hope they get a kick out of them like I do! As per tradition, I got them each a balloon and a few little gifts as well. I couldn't wait for them to get home from school! The kids humor me and act surprised every year, lol.

One of these years we will all have to go out for a special dinner, but you can't go wrong with homemade chocolate chip cookies and pizza for dinner. So it was an enjoyable evening!
