We took the pup, so a lot of my time was spent either watching him/taking him on walks, or snuggling him. Which isn't such a bad thing....I got in a lot of relaxing while snuggling Leo around the fire. No complaints here. But because I did so much relaxing and snuggling, I didn't take as many photos as I usually do. Usually I get the kids enjoying the parade, touring the Cheese Factory, everyone watching the fireworks, people enjoying the crab boil, walking the vendor booths, etc etc. We did enjoy all of those things, I just didn't take photos. I am finding that even though I love taking photos, I also love enjoying the present moment and not worrying about getting photos all the time.
I did, however, get photos of us hanging out when we showed up Thursday evening, as well as our trip to Cape Meares Beach on Friday. The trip to the beach is always my favorite moment of our trip to the coast.
As always, the crab boil was outstanding. This year we only had a small crowd, so not as large of a feast was boiled as usual, but the crab was the best tasting crab I have ever had. Ever. Sooo sweet and incredibly easy to get out of the shell. And there were ribs! Delicious!
I am forever thankful to the Evans' Family for inviting us year after year to their beach home. We look forward to it all year!
