Siblings. Party. Love.

So here we are. Anthony is now 7 and Molly is now 5. Not much else to do but celebrate, huh!?

Today we are having their birthday party here at the house and boy are they excited!

In celebration of their celebration, lol, I wanted to share the lovely brother-sister photos I got when I did their mini photo shoot the other day.

Oh my. I love it. Only now I have to do one with Timothy added into the mix.

Happy party day, my sweet ones. You fill my heart with so much love it could just burst.

Happy Birthday, Molly!

Little Miss Molly Lynn Elizabeth is 5 today! Can you imagine our surprise when she came a day after her brother's second birthday five years ago!?

Now that bubbling baby girl is a strong willed cutie pie.

I remember Sam and I anxiously waited for my mom to bring Anthony into the hospital room to meet his new little sister. I about lost it. Such a precious moment that will forever be ingrained in my mind and heart.

Happy Birthday, Anthony!

Our sweet Anthony is 7 years old today. 7!

How do they go from this.....

To this....

So fast? It seems like just yesterday he was born.

Gosh, I remember the excitement I felt becoming a Mama for the first time and the burning love I had for him the second I saw him.

Big Boy Bed Update

Timothy has been doing sooooooo well sleeping in his big boy bed! The first two nights we had to put him back in his bed just 1 time each night, and it was right at bed time, so that was no big surprise. Since then, you tell him it's bed time and he goes without a fuss and stays.

There was this one time at nap time he decided he wanted to play instead of nap and wouldn't you know it he was up and about playing with his toys. But that was resolved easily by giving him a book in bed and giving him the "Don't even think about getting out of bed" Mama eyes.

Then there was this time.....

Haha, I still don't know whether that slip out of bed was on accident or on purpose. Either way when I opened the door to peek in on him and saw him laying on the bear rug all adorable like, I couldn't resist taking a few photos of the sweet boy.

Good job with your big boy bed, sweet Timothy! You are such a good little boy.

Summer Time!

Ahhhhh yes, June 21st. The beginning of summer!

No more pencils, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks.....

Anthony didn't get it. Oh well.

Anthony enjoyed his last day of school this past Tuesday, the 17th. It was also a half day. We had been counting down since the middle of May, lol, and he was very excited to watch the number of school days left get smaller and smaller.

Wednesday, I enjoyed our first morning of no more school with all three of the kiddos snuggling with me in bed at 6:30 am. I was hoping to sleep in longer....but I have to say it was a nice alternative to the usual morning of "Eat your breakfast, get dressed, brush your teeth, lets go!"

That mellow morning gave way to chaos though.....and I knew it would!! While Summer does mean staying up a bit later, sleeping in a smudge, and an overall feeling of excitement and being carefree; it also means more bickering, more playing referrer, and more "I'm boooooooooored!"

I've got a trick up my sleeve to cure boredom though. It's called math sheets, flashcards, work books, and reading logs! I wonder who will be "bored" first? :)

We've got a lot of fun things happening this summer. Birthday parties, play dates, Farmers Market, camping, my birthday, beach trip, kids' trip to Grandma and Grandpa's, projects, etc etc. First up is Anthony and Molly's fast approaching birthday's! Anthony will be 7 on the 27th and Molly 5 on the 28th with their party being Sunday the 29th!

Happy summer break!

Garden Progress

We have officially finished all of our fencing for our garden, complete with a large swing gate! We have also done a rock boarder around the whole outside perimeter (except for where the swing gate is).

We've still got to make our main entry garden gate, but we've got our walkway started (still needs grout) and the kids had a good time helping me place marbles in the wet cement to make the walkway pretty. Then I wrote 2014 in the smoothed out cement area for fun. And later on one of our dogs had a good time putting their stamp into the cement as well.

We have plans to make one corner of the garden a nice sitting area, made out of pallet wood. In time I'll wind up adding some potted plants and other garden knick-knacks to make it all cutesy. I picture hanging out in the garden reading a book and sipping on a delicious lemonade drink.

With the remainder of all the rocks we had, the kids helped me make two small rock walls that boarder our main foot path through one area of our yard down to the horse barn. I love it! To the left of the foot path I plan to someday hang a hammock and maybe a few lanterns or lights and make that a nice relaxing hangout spot. You can never have too many sitting areas in your yard!

And just because we're on the topic of gardens and such, check out my beautiful succulent chair! I also updated the ones I have in a pair of old boots. Most of my succulents I've purchased from our local Goldendale Farmers Market for only $2.

It's so awesome to see everything come together. We've worked hard this past spring and will continue to work hard throughout the summer to finish and prep our garden area so next year we can plant! ....and maybe even get chickens. ;)

Mama Hauck
