Trick or Treating

For Halloween this year, we decided to all match as a family and go as M&M's! I think we look pretty dang cute, if I do say so myself!

We didn't plan on participating in Trunk or Treat on Main Street, but when we got to town and didn't see anyone trick or treating at houses yet, we thought what the heck, lets do Trunk or Treat first. We could fight the crowds for some easy candy.

When we finished up with Trunk or Treating, it was finally feeling dark enough to start trick or treating. We ran to pick up Anthony's friend, Owen, so he could join us, and then headed to the neighborhoods behind the hospital.

I got out and walked around the neighborhoods with the kiddos while Sam and Gpa followed behind us in the car. It was sooo fun being out and about seeing all the other trick or treaters! I enjoy actual trick or treating so much more than Trunk or Treating on Main Street.

As always, after trick or treating, we ended the evening by heading to Grandma Cathy's so the kids could go through their loot. Afterwards we dropped Owen back off at home and booked it home. It would have been nice to have stayed up to watch a scary or hop in the hot tub....you know....Halloweenie fun.....but everyone was feeling ready for bed, so that's where our night ended. I feel like this October was just a little off for everyone. Lots going on made for not a lot of time for as much Halloween fun as I would have liked. But that's alright. We can still blame Covid for fucking up our lives, right? LOL

Pumpkin Carving

Yesterday we finally got all the family together to carve pumpkins! Since it had been a long week, and we didn't feel like cooking, we ordered Chinese food from in town that Sammy picked up. No complaints from anyone about that! I also baked chocolate chip cookies and Gpa baked brownies for dessert.

I had the kitchen all set up with everyone's pumpkins clean and ready to go. I also took our pumpkin carving night as an opportunity to dress up, lol, eventhough no one else did! Well, Sammy did throw on some tie-dye and do his hair. But I couldn't convince the kiddos to dress up. Oh well.

We jammed to some Halloween music and got to carving! When we were all done, Gma and Gpa Whitten had to take off, so they didn't get to be a part of the group photo and pumpkin reveal, but that's ok, we added their pumpkin to the photo even without them!

Yay! Spooky!

We are now officially ready for Halloween!
