Packers Pumpkin Patch Fun

This past weekend we loaded the whole family up, including some of the Grandparents, and headed off to Hood River to go to Packers Pumpkin Patch! It has been a busy fall, so this was the first fall fun we've been able to get out to do! We couldn't have gotten any luckier with the weather, it was sunny, 70*, with no wind.

I know Packers is geared more for younger kiddos, but everyone still had a great time! Our first stop was the corn maze! Who doesn't love a corn maze?

Packers has grown in size since the last time we went. They have a lot of little fun things for small kiddos to do. We took photos, played cornhole, played in the corn pit, did pumpkin bowling, swung on swings, went down slides, rolled around in big tubes, etc. It was fun having all those other activities for the kids to do, it gave us adults time to just sit and relax (and play in the corn pit as well!).

After all of our play time, it was time to hit the pumpkin patch! I was a little disappointed because in years past, Packers had an actual pumpkin patch where you would go into the field and cut your pumpkin off the vine, etc, and this time they had already cleared their field and just taken the pumpkins and placed them all in a different field all clean and pretty. Obviously you still had to walk around and hunt for the perfect pumpkin, but I am really missing the "pumpkin patch" experience. I feel like that is hard to find now a days. Still, we enjoyed our time, and the views, from the pumpkin patch and we all found our perfect carving pumpkin to take home! (I just forgot to take a photo of Tim with his pumpkin, darn it!)

After getting lost in the maze, playing in the corn, and pumpkin hunting, it was finally time for the best part; stuffing our faces with ice cream, nachos, popcorn, caramel apples, cookies, apple cider donuts, and of course, apple cider! We took a lot of those goodies home as well.

I'm so glad we were finally able to get out of the house and go do something fun. It's kind of freaking me out that we're already over halfway done with October!! I don't even know how that happened. I don't feel like I am getting my fill of October fun!! Better start watching some scary movies to get in the mood, lol.

With love,
Mama Hauck
