Day 21 - Roast smores on the front porch with Gma Cathy.
I left out smores stuff and sticks so the kiddos could have a fire and roast smores while Sammy and I were gone on our beach getaway. I heard they all enjoyed it!
Day 22 - Watch a movie together as a family.
Since Sammy and I had just got home from our mini beach getaway, and it's always a whirlwind of unpacking and cleaning after you get home from a trip, we needed something chill and relaxing to do with the kids that took zero work. Watching a movie together was the perfect wind down activity! Anthony picked the movie Whiplash. It was nice to just be with the kids after being away from them for a few days.
Day 23 - Christmas hang time with the Myras. Get the house ready for Christmas!
Sooooo we were suppose to spend the afternoon at our friend's house celebrating the holiday season with them, but unfortunately a handful of them were sick, so our holiday hang out had to be cancelled. Darn it!
So instead we cranked on some Christmas tunes on the TV, got a holiday spice simmer pot going on the strove to fill the house with some holiday spice aroma, and everyone pitched in to get the house deep cleaned and ready for Christmas. Molly helped me set the tables for Christmas dinner, we got the cookie platter prepped, a bunch of cleaning and housework got done, the boys helped Sam do a few projects in the shop, I finished up what items I had left to wrap, stocking stuffer got organized and ready to stuff, and then Sam took Molly to Gma Cathy's for the evening. She always stays over the night of the 23rd so she can help Gma Cathy get all the food and such ready for Christmas Eve at her house!
All in all, it might not have been a "fun" day, but it sure was productive! And it was nice to get in a bunch of puppy snuggles at the end of the day!
