Advent Days 11-15

Day 11 - Play the string pull game.

This is a new game I saw via a video! You put a gift on each plate. Each plate is connected to a string, and the strings are all mixed up and run up through a hole in a cup so you can't see which string is connected to which plate. You take turns pulling a string and whichever plate it pulls, you get that prize.

We had a great time paying this new game and I'm excited to keep it on our advent list for next year!

Day 12 - Hang out as a family around the fire.

Day 13 - Play the left/right game.

We've done this game many years in a row now. Sam reads a fun story where "left" and "right" is said many times throughout, and each time "left" or "right" is said in the story, the kids have to pass the gift that they have left or right. At the end of the story, they get to open up the gift they are left with. The gifts are small things....usually treats of some sort.

Day 14 - Enjoy Anthony's holiday jazz band concert.

Some nights are just too busy to play a game or do something special for the advent, so we have to work with what we got. It was Anthony's annual holiday jazz band concert, so the fun for the day was to wear our Christmas sweaters and go listen to Anthony play!

Day 15 - Bake cookies and bag them up for teacher gifts!

Tomorrow is the last day of school before Christmas break, and for once we didn't have anything going on after school, so it was the prefect day to bake cookies and set some aside to go along with the soap I pulled for teacher gifts! The boys and Papa helped. Molly sat this one out because she was in a foul mood, hahahaha.

With love,
Mama Hauck
