Dancing Mountain Ranch Horse Group Christmas Party

Since summer time, Molly has been taking lessons with a group of kids at a local barn in town, Dancing Mountain Ranch. She's done lessons here and there, participated in a rodeo, and even got to ride her lesson horse in the Christmas parade this year! We also attend fasmily game night with her horse group at the Lutheran Church 1-2 times a month. We eat dinner, dessert, and then play fun games. It's been fun to be a part of a group and watch Molly, as well as the boys, participate in something larger than themselves.

Last night we all got together for a Christmas party! Grandma Cathy came too. The kids helped prepare snacks and such for dinner, and we all chowed down on fun Christmas snacks and mac and cheese.

After eating, we all headed downstairs where the kids did a book exchange and exchanged other gifts they made eachother. The adults were to do a cookie exchange later, after game time. The kiddos and I baked all day yesterday so that we could not only have the cookies we needed for the cookie exchange, but so that we could gift each family their very own tin of homemade cookies!

When we were finished gift exchanging, the kids all sat in a circle and played a game where they had to try to unravel gifts from a big ball of gifts tapped together by tape! It was hilarious watching the kids try to tear apart the huge tape ball! It was difficult! It took well over an hour before the very last gift was unraveled. When we were done with gifts and games, the adults did their cookie exchange before calling it a night...at 10pm!! Guess we were having so much fun we lost track of time, lol.

We truly had a blast! I am thankful for this fun group of people.

With love,                                                                                                            Mama Hauck
