Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve we go to Gma Cathy's house! We eat lots of snacks, watch Christmas movies, and play the dice game. 

The dice game is you all sit around in a cirlce with a whole bunch of presents in the middle. You take turns rolling dice. If you roll a double, you pick a gift from the middle. This goes on until all the gifts are gone. Then there is a minute long round where if you roll a double, you can steal a gift from someone else. At the end, you open the gifts you have.   

This year we watched A Christmas Carol (the one with Patrick Stewert), Elf, and Home Alone.

Then we played the dice game! Lots of fun little goodies and treats. 

The rest of the evening we spent watching the Christmas movies, Timothy and Gma played the piano, and we all snacked until our bellies were bursting. 

After getting home from Gma Cathy's house, we took our annual Christmas sweater family photo! Usually we do this way earlier in the month, but the day we were suppose to do it I had a headache, and then we got busy and had to leave it till the last minute! Thankfully we had the time to take one. I love looking at all of our Christmas sweater photos from years past, and I would have been really sad if we had forgotten to take on this year!

Time to get the hosue cleaned up and ready for Christmas! The kiddos might feel too old to make and leave reindeer food, but they're not to old to leave out a drink and cookies for "Samta." hahaha

It was a wonderful, relaxing Christmas Eve. We are ready for Christmas!
