I never know how things are going to go now, with Anth being away at college. There's always this big question mark looming. I want to keep things as normal as possible. I want to keep things the same at home, and for him. Do things as we've always done them. Not change things up too much. For his sake, but also for the other kids, and for me. I try really hard, but sometimes things are just different. And while most times I accept that, sometimes it's hard and makes me really sad.
We usually decorate the house and Christmas tree on December 1st. If we kept with that tradition, Anth would be back at college, and unable to join us. That wasn't going to work. So this year we did things early, while he was still home on Thanksgiving break. It was important that he still be able to decorate with us, so I'm glad I had the time earlier in the week to set the tree up, string the lights, and dig out the decorations. Come Saturday evening we were ready! And I loved it. Anth even put the star on the tree, which killed me because Same "helped" him. Haha
