KVH Dash N Dine

Yesterday, Sam participated in KVH's Dash N Dine 5k run. Originally he was suppose to work, so wasn't planning on attending, but it turned out he didn't have to go to work, so he got to go! Molly was at a friend's house, and Anthony was at Grandma's, so Timothy and I went to cheer Papa on and partake in the other festivities going on at the Health Fair.

Sam came in first for his age division and won an 8lb medicine ball as his prize. Yay!

After hearing about the 1-mile kid's fun run, also at the Dash N Dine, Timothy was all for it! He was a bit nervous, but I'm so glad he worked through that.

There were so many little feet flying! Timothy was very excited to be the first kiddo to cross the finish line! No matter what, we were proud of him for stepping outside of his comfort zone and participating, but it made it all the more fun that he crossed the finish line first! He was soooo excited!!!

I love that all the kiddos got medals for doing the 1-mile fun run, just like the older kids and adults got for doing the 5K. He felt like such a big boy and is very proud of himself.

After Sam and Timothy ran, we sat down and got a bite to eat at the outside breakfast bar. Such a great reward for all that hard work! We were able to visit and chat with friends, Tim got in some fun on the bouncy houses, and we made a stop in at the bookmobile to sign up for the summer reading program before leaving the Health Fair.

Great work, boys!

With love,
Mama Hauck
