Long gone are the days where I use to tote you around on my hip. Long gone are the days where you would sneak into our room in the middle of the night to sleep in our bed. Long gone are the days where you slipped your hand into mine while out and about walking.
So much growing. So much changing. So many little things long gone in our day-to-day. But ohhhhh how the memories live on in my heart.
You are one year away from officially being a teen. One year. And I know that is going to fly by in a blink of an eye. It always does.
I promise to slow down and soak up every moment of how you are today, in this moment. There are so many little things going on now that will soon become more of the little things that are long gone.
Happy 12th birthday, sweet boy. We are extremely proud of the young man you are growing into. We love you beyond measure.
