Hoor River Fall Fest

Since school started, life has felt soooo insanely busy! Between school and homework, cross country practice and meets, volleyball practice and meets, piano, FFA events, dentist and orthodontist appointments, normal household life and chores, animals, a million ongoing outside projects, soaping, etc. etc,.....I feel there's been no chance to take a break and breathe! Where's my October fun!?

Yesterday we finally just had to throw our hands up and say fuck it, we were going to ignore all the chores and projects so we could get out of the house and enjoy a family day! No one had any sports events, Anthony wasn't working for any of the neighbors, and Sam took the rare Sunday off. We couldn't just stay home.

So we headed to Hood River for their annual Hood River Fall Fest! Molly invited her friend Emma to join us, and it was so nice for her to have that company. Hood River Fall Fast is always tons of fun. Live music, endless food cart options, bouncy houses and rock walls for kids, a huge variety of vendor booths, and a wonderful selection of apples, pears, and baked goodies!

We stuffed our faces with food and treats, sat and relaxed listening to the live music, walked the vendor booths and bought some goodies (I got a beautiful new bracelet and some chocolates, Sammy got some meat sticks and winter gloves, and Timothy bought a huge donut shaped bath bomb!), sampled apples and pears, and Timothy enjoyed a few go-arounds on the bouncy houses.

We definitely enjoyed our time. All year I look forward to spending time with the family at events like this! I'm glad we were able to spend the day as a family.

With love,
Mama Hauck
