(Fake) Easter Fun

As in years past, we headed over to Gma Cathy's the Friday before Easter for dinner and egg dying fun! Everyone had a great time and the kiddo's eggs turned out great! 

However, unlike in years past, we didn't celebrate Easter on Easter Sunday. Sammy and I took off on an anniversary getaway on Sunday, so we decided to celebrate Easter a day early and dubbed it "Fake Easter" lol. Everyone was on board with this plan....except for Gypsy....Molly's pregnant cat who decided our Fake Easter was the perfect morning to deliver her kittens! But that is a different blog post. 

Anyway, we were all geared up to celebrate Easter, and we did, but to be honest, most of the day was spent in Molly's room on her floor watching the kittens, haha. So we didn't even do our egg hunt and baskets until afternoon. The kids had fun and were excited about their goodies, but needless to say, the day was overshadowed by the cuteness of the kittens.

We had a delicious meal of prime rib, ham, roasted veggies, cheesy potatoes, noodle salad, deviled eggs, and biscuits. 

 

Last, but not least, the kids are always such great sports about getting their photo taken with their bunny ears on. I know they are getting older and its a bit cheesy to them, but they do it for their Mama and I am so thankful they do. Even Leo put some ears on for his Mama this year! lol 

Not our typical Easter, but still a good one!
