Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was especially great this year because it was the very first time my Dad has been here for one! True, it was due to an accident....he tripped and broke his leg back in October when he came up with the rest of my East Coast family for a visit, so had to stay here in WA while he healed....but we can all consider it a happy accident, can't we? LOL!!

In true Hauck fashion, Thanksgiving was spent just relaxing with the kids, watching the Macy's Day Parade and a few Christmas movies, and eating delicious food. It's always mellow, which I like.

For our Thanksgiving meal we enjoyed turkey, prime rib, green beans, honey mint carrots, loaded mashed potatoes, stuffing, biscuits, cranberry sauce, and my homemade carrot cake for dessert.

This year I am extremely thankful for the outpouring and love and support the family and I have received during my breast cancer diagnosis. This has been the hardest and scariest chapter of my life, and I am thankful to still be kicking it.

With love,
Mama Hauck
