Anthony's Cross Country Season

Being in 11th grade now, Anthony is on his third year of Cross Country (XC), and kicking ass. Typically, the kids in XC are suppose to run and train all summer, and then practice officially starts in August, a few weeks before school, and the XC season and meets start the first week of September and run clear to the first week of November.

All of the XC meets, except for one, are away, so I rely on others to take photos! Here are a bunch from over the course of his season I was sent by some of the other Mama's who were able to go to some.

You better believe I wasn't going to miss the one and only XC meet of the season held in Goldendale! They held it at the local Golf Course Club. Sammy was able to get off work to join me. Anthony was SO excited we were able to make it, and I was filled with so much pride being able to finally watch Anthony run! I took as many photos and videos as I could.

Our community is very fortunate to have a local photographer who tries to get around to as many events as possible to take photos, and then share those photos with the community on his FB page. I have gotten SO many amazing photos of the kids over the years via John Longfellow. I am thankful our community has him. Look at these great photos he got of Anthony at the local XC meet!

Because Anthony performed so well at the last few XC meets, he qualified to go to State! Overall the team placed 13th. They had a great send off from the school, which was fun to watch live via the High School's live FB video on the page.

We are very proud of Anthony and his tenacity and perseverance. At his end of the year banquet, Coach commended Anthony for his hard work at practice and his time improvement, not just from year to year, but just from the start to the end of the season.

On to track this Spring!

With love,
Mama Hauck
