Timothy's Birthday Shenanigans

My sweet boy is now 10 years old, and boy did we have a kick-ass time on his birthday! It started out with everyone (except Anthony because he had an FFA event to get to) playing hooky from school and work. We actually had to wake the birthday boy up because we got tired of waiting for him, haha!

Presents was first on the agenda! He received many items on his wish list....a camo sweatshirt and pants, a ghillie suit, a co2 airsoft gun, new Uno playing cards, and the next few books in his favorite series. He also received many cards and spending cash!  His birthday stocking was full of little treats like candy, game gift cards, and other food treats. He was quite pleased with his birthday haul, which made me happy.

After picking up and getting ready for the day, we swung by Timothy's friend's house to pick him up! It was so nice that Trevin was able to play hooky from school as well so Timothy could have his friend with him on his birthday!!

We of course wanted to spend some time with the grandparents on his birthday, so we invited them out to breakfast at Bake My Day, Tim's favorite little bakery that just moved into a new building and opened up. It was perfect. We all ate a delicious breakfast, and Tim got some more spending cash and new shooting targets!

Timothy decided he wanted to go to the Wunderland Arcade for his birthday this year. We went there for Anthony's birthday 3 years back and had a really great time. It was a bit of a drive since it's all the way by Portland, but it was sooo worth it! We got there right at opening time, and with it being a Wednesday, there were only a few other people there, so we practically had the place to ourselves for 2 hours! We each got a $10 game card and went at it! The games are all nickel games, with the most expensive being $0.50, so our game cards lasted forever.  We played for an hour, then did a round of laser tag, then spent another 30 minutes spending the rest of our game cards and having the kids redeem their tickets.

Laser tag was awesome! I wish I would have gotten more photos in there, but we were having too much fun running around, I didn't stop to take photos except for a group one at the very end. I love that the laser tag room is 3 levels, and there's soooo many places to hide and ambush others. Sammy and I were on a team, and Molly, Tim, and Trevin were on a team. We were winning up until the last second when Tim got Sam and pulled ahead of us in points, darn it, hahaha.

After our time at the arcade came to an end, we made our way back to town, dropped Trevin off, and headed on home. Per tradition, we marked Timothy's height on the height bored and took some birthday photos with Mama and Papa.

Birthday cake was the last thing on our birthday check list! Double chocolate Costco birthday cake! Definitely the best there is.

We ended the day with lots of birthday snuggles.....because even at 10, you still want to snuggle with your Mama and Papa. Thank God for that.

We had a wonderful day with you, Timothy Thomas!

With love,
Mama Hauck
