Quarantine, Day 20. Worm Dissection!

Quarantine day 20.

Time to dissect some worms!

We waited until Papa got home from work, so I could have a second pair of hands to help out and take photos.

The kids weren't jumping with joy over this project at the start, but they eventually got into it. Good thing too....worms are just the tip of the iceberg.....we have a frog and a fish to dissect in the weeks to come!

My favorite part was when Tim held the worm up and threatened to throw it at Molly. HAHA classic Timothy.

The dissection directions were easy to follow and the kids were able to do a good majority of it themselves. It was a little bit tricky to get the scissors in and cut the worm's skin without puncturing anything else, but we did a pretty bang up job if I do say so myself! I loved that the packet not only told us how to do the job, but also showed and talked about the different organs we were looking at. The kids dug it. It was really fun having Papa home with us for this project!

Great work, kiddos! Ready for the fish!?

With love,
Home-schooling Mama Hauck
