First Family Hike!

If the kiddos were still in school and life was currently normal, we would be on Spring break right now....staying in a huge house in Sunriver, Oregon with our friends. Going on adventures, eating ice cream, and having a grand 'ol time. But alas, we had to cancel those fun plans and settle for social distancing here at home instead. At least Papa was able to take Thursday, Friday, and the weekend off still!

The weather has been beautiful this week. Definitely a taste of Spring! And very much needed. In celebration of our unofficial Spring break, we took the kiddos on the hike Sam and I went on just a few days ago for our anniversary.

I was excited to show them "Rainbow Springs," which isn't running right now, it's just a stagnant pond at the moment, but the frogs sang for us and the kids thought that was cool!

We really enjoyed the view of Rock Creek Canyon. The sun made it even more beautiful than the other day when Sam and I were there.

Stopping for a fanny pack snack is a must on every hike. We shared our snack time with this little lizard who was sunbathing on a nearby stump.

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with the kids. It was so nice to have Papa home with us and be able to enjoy the beautiful weather. This time as a family was very much needed.

I am so thankful for this perfect day. Definitely looking forward to more gorgeous weather.

With love,
Mama Hauck
