We celebrated Timothy's birthday over the course of two weekends. Since Anthony was home for the weekend and we wanted him to be there for Timothy opening his gifts, we did presents on Sunday the 11th, the day before his birthday.
Timothy has been wanting a dirt bike for years now. We were really excited to be able to make it happen for him this year. Sammy and I had it sitting in the living room to surprise him when he woke up. He was pretty stoked! He wasted no time gearing up and taking his first ride. Needless to say, he spent most of the day getting a feel for his new bike.
That evening we had the grandparents over for birthday dinner and dessert!
And, of course, we did Timothy's yearly measurement on the height board. He grew a tons this past year, which he was very excited about. I hope he keeps that growth momentum up.
The next day, the 12th, his actual birthday, we played hooky from school and went on a hike at Beacon Rock and then zip lining! Those photos will be in the next blog post, but here is a sneak peek.
Since Timothy's friends were not able to make it over to hang out the previous weekend, we had all the boys over the following, on the 16th. So two birthday weekends in a row! We took the boys to the pool for a swim, then headed home for birthday dinner, dessert, and a night of gaming. I'm glad it worked out for Timothy to have all of his buddies over.
