Molly had her friend Clover spend the night so she'd be there for her birthday. I made pancakes, bacon, and eggs for her special birthday breakfast!
After breakfast she was super excited to open her gifts and birthday stocking. She got a new bath robe, some Drake canvases she had been eyeballing for her wall, and a couple pieces of jewelry she had been wanting.
Molly really wanted to go to Hood River for a bit of shopping and a movie! So after gifts and getting ready, we loaded up. We walked the shops in downtown Hood River for a while, went out to eat at Doppio, she got a second piercing in her ears, and to wrap up the day, we watched Bad Boys For Life, which was hilarious!
After a long afternoon in Hood River, we dropped Clover off at home and headed home ourselves. I was pretty pooped out, so I never did get a birthday photo with her, darn it, but at least Papa did! We usually make or buy the kids a special treat for their birthday dessert, but Molly didn't want anything. So we never did do cake, candles, and sing, which made me sad, but that's ok. The kids grow up and sometimes things change. We had a super fun day, and I loved seeing her smile.
