It's Soccer Time!

It's that time of year again! Soccer time!!

This year, Molly is old enough to play soccer as well and she is so excited!! Both kids have now had their first practices. Anthony has been bumped up to the next age group, so that means two different soccer teams, two different soccer meets, two different games to watch on game day....

Their first games will be next Saturday, the 14th! And we will have games every Saturday thereafter for two months.

We are super stoked to watch the kids have a good time.

Hello 1st Grade!

Anthony is currently in school as I type this up! My little man is officially in first grade! I wonder what he's doing and if he's having a good day? 

Oh and me? I'm having a great day! Without having to play referee for Anthony and Molly, I've managed to clean the whole kitchen and appliances top to bottom, organize our huge spice rack in our pantry, and do the usual chores like sweeping, dishes, laundry, and vacuuming. Molly has been playing fairly and Timothy likes to hang outside with Grandma, so it's been an extremely productive day! Ahh yes, back to school time is glorious.

Papa made Anthony a special breakfast of pancakes and eggs while I packed his lunch.

 
Then it was time for photos! I made a special sign for Anthony just like I did for him last year. I plan to do this every year so I can have a record of his growth and how much he changes throughout the years.

I can't believe he's in first grade. Looking back at his school photos from last September.....it just hits home the fact that children grow up and change so much.....even in one year. I'm excited to get him off the bus in a few hours and hear all about his first day in his new class with his new teacher and new friends. 

Tonight we have his first soccer practice as well as Molly's open house. Busy busy!

Goodbye Summer

School resumes here in Goldendale, WA tomorrow! Anthony is excited....and so am I!! This week also brings with it the start of soccer for both Anthony and Molly.....so there's a handful of soccer practices, open houses for school, and a dr. appointment thrown in there too. Needless to say, the first week back to school is a BUSY one. I hope we all adjust well. 

Today, on our last day of summer break, we are busy making sure Anthony is all put together for tomorrow. He's picked out his outfit for tomorrow, already decided on his school lunch, and we've got all his school goodies labeled and in his back pack. He's ready! 

This past weekend was exactly what we needed to bring summer to a close. We visited the farmers market and got some yummy fresh veggies, we stocked our freezer with our homemade breakfast burritos, we continued work on a few projects, we went to two super fun birthday parties (and had a great time!!), and we got to enjoy a nice ride on Nik. We went out for breakfast, enjoyed lots of snuggles on the couch, had a sleepover in Grandma's room, and relaxed on our porch under our new string lights while listening to music. 

Ah yes, it was a great weekend indeed.
