Molly's Chill Birthday

Once again, Covid made it so birthday plans were small and at home.

Molly's birthday started out with opening one gift from her friend Harper, and opening her birthday stocking! She wanted to open up a few, but also save some of her gifts for when her  friends and grandparents came over later in the day.

Her birthday stocking was full of nail polish, bath bombs, a new lotion and body spray, a personal mister fan, some treats, and concert tickets to see Maroon 5 and Meghan Trainor! EKK!! She was SO excited!!! Unfortunately, the concert was suppose to take place in August, but has been cancelled due to Covid. We're still waiting to see when it will be rescheduled. I'm guessing sometime next year. Fingers crossed.

For birthday breakfast, Molly requested waffles with fruit and whipped cream!

We picked up Molly's friend Dilynn at noon. The girls spent the day hanging out and playing. At 4 we had Grandma Cathy, Grandma and Grandpa Whitten, and Molly's friend Joss over for presents and dinner.

Molly received a hamster cage, food and accessories for the hamster, a sign I painted her, a huge new Nerf gun, and bullets. She also was lucky to receive a bit of spending money from her grandparents! She was one happy girl!

She couldn't decide between alfredo or spaghetti for dinner, so we went ahead and made both! A green salad with all the fixings completed her birthday dinner!

Anthony made Molly blueberry muffins for her birthday dessert, and I also picked up a few different kinds of ice cream, waffle cones, and some ice cream toppings.

While we were bummed we weren't able to actually go out and do anything for Molly's birthday, I was thankful she was able to have a few friends over to play for the day. That totally made her happy! It was also nice to have the grandparents over for birthday dinner and dessert!

Last, but not least, measuring on the height board!

Happy 11th birthday, Molly!

Anthony's Chill Birthday

Covid made it so we couldn't celebrate Anthony's 13th birthday the way he would have preferred. Instead he had two friends spend the night to hang out, and that wound up being good enough for him.

Anthony's birthday breakfast consisted of pancakes, eggs, and sausage.

He was super excited to open his presents! He got a bunch of spending money from his grandparents, an Occulus VR headset, a PS4 game he's been wanting, a sign I painted him, and curtains for his tree fort. He even got a kitten from his friend!! The very kitten he had been eyeing since it was born at his friend's house, lol. What a lucky boy! He got a lot of little goodies in his birthday stocking, like items for his kitten, gift cards, treats, and a t-shirt. We all couldn't wait to charge and try out the VR headset!

Anthony's whole birthday pretty much consisted of him and his buddies playing games. I think at one point they took a breather and went outside, lol. Since we couldn't go *do* anything for his birthday, he really just wanted to have some chill time with his friends and have a marathon game day. So that's what they did. It was a nice and mellow day and he was just happy to spend it with his friends.

Birthday lunch/dinner consisted of burgers and chips. Afterwards we had strawberry rhubarb pie and chocolate cream pie for Anthony's birthday dessert!

And, of course, our annual measuring on the height board and photos with Mama and Papa!

Happy 13th birthday, Anthony!
