This past Saturday, Sammy and I were lucky enough to set up our Goldendale Country Bumpkin booth at the Blue Grass, Fiddlin' Under The Stars Festival here in Goldendale, WA! Our very first festival!
It was quite lovely setting up our booth while listening to fiddles, banjos, and guitars playing all around us, music floating in on the nice breeze.
We were there from 8:30 in the morning until 7:30 at night. We had such a wonderful time chatting with all the people who were there enjoying the festival. We have been so well received by so many and we are so thankful for that. It makes our adventure with our craft that much more exciting and fulfilling.
We had a few helpers for part of the day! My mom and Chris came down to check out our booth and enjoy the festival with Molly and Timothy. They enjoyed eating fresh strawberries from the Farmers Market and coloring in activity books given out by a Parks and Recreation booth at the festival. They played at the park and took a walk down to the little creek in the area before returning to play a few games of tic-tac-toe to help draw people into our booth. ;)
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has supported us in our adventure. We are having so much sharing our craft with you all and our hearts feel so full each and every time someone tells us how awesome our booth is and how great it is to see us and our products contributing to the Farmers Market and Goldendale as a whole.

Last Friday evening we held a star party! My mom and her husband Chris came up for a week visit from CA and brought his 20" telescope so we could all enjoy an evening of star gazing out here in the beautiful country. It's not so great star gazing wise where they live, so it's a special treat to be able to set it up here where the sky is dark and the stars really come alive.
We invited a few people over and had a tasty dinner of burgers, calico beans, bacon wrapped smokies, fruit salad, chicken and noodle salad, punch, soda, and beer.
Sweet Timothy was soooo tired, he just couldn't hold out. After he ate, he fell asleep on Sam's back at about 7:30. The rest of the kiddos enjoyed running around the yard and jumping on the trampoline while us adults chatted and played horseshoes.
It was about 8:45pm when Chris started setting up the telescope. It was really cool watching him get it all put together. It's huge!
After setting up the telescope was complete, there was nothing left to do but wait for it to be dark!
It was amazing, just soooooooo amazing! We saw Saturn and it's rings, Jupiter and 4 of it's moons, Mars, Globular Star Clusters, multiple galaxies, The Horseshoe Nebula, and much more. It was awesome! I wish you all could have looked through the telescope and saw what we saw.
Truly amazing. "I have loved the stars to fondly to be fearful of the night." - Sarah Williams

Molly had her last day of Preschool this past Friday!
It's hard to believe how much our sweet little gal has grown up. Can you believe this was our Little Miss Molly Lynn Elizabeth on her very first day of preschool 2 years ago?....
In celebration of two wonderful years of Preschool, we wanted to make little gifts for her friends and teachers to show them how much we love and appreciate them. We bought each of her teachers a nice scarf and wrote them a sweet card. For her class mates, we made goody bags with hand painted googly eye rock friends, a necklace, and a hand made card from Molly. We gave everyone their gifts on Wednesday.
All the kiddos loved their little rocks and her teachers thought the scarfs were wonderful. Two of her teachers even wore their scarfs on the last day of school on Friday! How sweet!
First can be scary, lasts can be sad. Spread your wings and fly, little girl. Mama will be here for your many firsts and last.
