Turning 25

I arose at 6:30am my birthday morning so that I could spend some quite time alone before the kids woke up. I lite my favorite smelling candle....root beer....grabbed a green tea and my container of raspberries and sat down on the couch with my fluffy blanket. I finished working on my photos from my last photo shoot and got caught up on FB and reading other's blogs. Mols woke up at 8 and came and snuggled next to me on the couch. We fed each other raspberries. :)

After Anthony woke up it was breakfast, horse feeding, and showers. It was a fairly typical day of playing with the kids and stuff. It was cool and windy out and the sun refused to stay out which was a bummer. The UPS guy came and delivered a box from my dad filled with cookies and twizzlers. The kids and I had a fun time popping all the bubble wrap in it, they love that stuff! I got a few birthday calls through out the day which was super nice. I kept telling Anthony, "You have to be nice to me and be a good boy! It's my birthday!" and he would go, "Ohh! I forgot! Ok, Mama, I'll be a good boy!" Hahaha Another time Anthony says, "Oh, Mama! Are your friends coming over? Are they going to sing Happy Birthday? Are you having cake?" I said, "I don't know, Anthony. Did you buy me a cake?" and he says,"Oh no. I forgot to buy you a cake." all frowny face and stuff. HA!

Sam got home from work a bit early and gave me a card from my mom and sister that had come in the mail. Molly wanted it, but I explained to her that it was mine, lol, I don't think she cared. We then decided it would be a swell idea to call our friends and go out to dinner in celebration of my birthday! I'm so glad we did that! We went to The Windy Ridge where I was presented with two bottles of wine, one from my friends Kurt and Tracie and the other my favorite plum wine from the OR coast from my friend Tim. Drinks and dinner were ordered, I took a shot that tasted like Christmas, people laughed and chummed it up, kids giggled and got ketchup everywhere, I was ordered a drink and was sung happy birthday, and it was a GREAT night. :) I am very thankful for the friends I have found here and work hard to cultivate those relationships.

No birthday cake, much to Anthony's dismay. But maybe we'll stick some candles into something else just so I can blow them out. :)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! 25 feels like 24. :)

It's My Birthday!

Whoop!

I mean Ugh. 25 is old. ;)

Sorry for my absence recently. If you knew how busy with children I have been recently, then you'd forgive me. Sam's family is now gone, they left Tuesday morning and Sam headed back to work today.....with the car. Guess that leaves me spending the day at home with the kids with no plans. Birthdays suck when their not on a weekend. Hopefully it will be warm and sunny out. The past 2 days haven't been that warm and I'd REALLY like to sit out in the sun with an ice tea in hand reading a Cosmo thank you very much.

I do have a post planned for the Hauck fam's visit with photos. I also did a photo shoot of my niece and nephew for my sister in law and plan to post some of those pics too. My very first photo shoot with my new lens!!! The photos turned out great in my opinion. And yesterday we went to Home Depot and got some plants for in front of the house to spruce the place up a bit. I'll have to post pics of those too.

.....but not today. Just let me sit around today and contemplate my life thus far.

Though one photo to tide you over couldn't hurt. Me and my babies on a picnic last week.

Visitors!

In all the hype that was May and June, I forgot to mention one exciting piece of information.....

Sammy's Mama and Sister (along with her two kiddos) will be driving in from MN and staying with us for a good while! They should be arriving either Sunday the 3rd or Monday the 4th sometime. I hope the earlier, since every 4th of July, our town holds a demolition derby at the fair grounds. Last year my Dad was in from NY visiting us so we went with him and the kids loved it!! I would really love to go again this year. They'll be staying with us until the 13th or 14th.

Oh, and FYI, the 14th is my birthday. What are ya'll planning for me? ;)

With love,
Mama Hauck

P.S.

I GOT MY FREAKEN BRAND SPANKIN' NEW LENS IN!!!!! Whoop whoop!!! Now I've got to sit down and fiddle around with it. YAY!
