Hauck Fall Family Photos 2010

The first few photos were taken in my yard and the one of Sam and I, Anthony actually took. How sweet is that? He was begging me to let him take a photo so I stood him on a chair in front of the tripod and camera, showed him where the button was and let him snap a few. Will he have a love for photography like his Mama?

The next batch was taken at my favorite fall spot on the road Sammy takes to work everyday; Rock Creek Rd in Klickitat County, WA. The trees and all the leafs on the ground made for a beautiful scene. I could have stayed there and let the kids play all day.....watching them makes my heart swell.

Fall Photos

We decided we weren't going to go out Trick-or-Treating Sunday because I wanted to take the day to finally go to this one special spot I love and take photos. I knew the remainder of the night I would be working on them. I am IN LOVE with all the family photos I took!!! I honestly think they are my best yet. I'm hoping to post those ones tomorrow once I narrow them down a bit. Today I wanted to show off the nature ones I took. By looking at these you'll see why this is easily my favorite spot in the fall. Sammy drives this road to work every day and it is just so incredibly gorgeous in the fall.

Trunk-or-Treat!

Saturday night our town was holding it's "Trunk or Treat" (cars back into the parking spaces and give out candy from the trunks) on main street. I invited some friends over and we ate pizza and chummed it up before getting in our costumes and heading out! I was soooo excited.....until we got there and I saw there was hardly any "trunks" giving out candy. It was a little rainy and dreary out, maybe that's why? The kids got about 10 pieces of candy and it was all the crappy kind....suckers and hard chewy stuff. Where were the butterfingers? The reeses cups? The chocolate bars? Nowhere....nowhere to be seen.

We invited our friends back to the house for a bonfire and some wii. We had a blast!! Despite a little rain, we had a great time sitting by the fire under our big umbrellas. The kids ran around playing together while Sammy, Me, Becky and Dustin talked and had a few drinks. More Spooky Spiked Tea for me, please! ;)  At some point Sammy and Dustin took the kids inside to start playing wii so Becky and I were able to talk. It's nice to just sit back, relax and have some girl talk. I don't get the opportunity to do that often. Hang out time ended with all 4 kids up and dancing to the old school 8-tracks we were going through and listening to on the 8-track player my dad sent out to us. TOO FUNNY! After our friends left, Sammy and I put the kids to bed then stayed up late to watch Paranormal Activity. Spooky! All in all I'd say we had a pretty darn good day!
