Goodbye 2020, and hello 2021.
2020 certainly wasn't the greatest. It's been a struggle, in different ways, for everyone. Some more than others. However, I have to say I am thankful we didn't have our lives as negatively affected as some. This past year hasn't been the best, but Sam never lost his job, and no one in our immediate family got ill from Covid (or anything else). Not everyone can say that. For this reason, I am feeling particularly thankful.
In truth, other than the children having to do schooling online and the hardships that come along with that, missing their friend time, and the minor inconvenience of restaurants closing, special summer plans being cancelled, and wearing masks in stores, we were spared the worst of what 2020 brought to many people.
Still, I think we are all feeling hopeful for a more positive year. For everyone.
