Mama and Mols Cooking Class

Last Saturday Molly and I went to a cooking class with Molly's friend Joss and her Mama. We all had a good time!

The recipe for that day was Apple Boatmeal.....an oatmeal blend in a hallowed out apple. Molly and Joss both looked adorable in their aprons and it was fun to watch them follow the recipe directions and participate. I think Molly's favorite part was getting everything in the blender and then pressing the button to make it blend. To be honest, I didn't help much! Molly didn't need me to! I helped core the apple, but that was about it. Way to be independent, Mols!

When the recipe was complete, all the kiddos made a picnic on the floor. They each got an apple boatmeal to top with their choice of toppings, like coconut flakes or raisins. Molly piled hers sky high with raisins, and then proceeded to eat only the raisins, stating she didn't like the apple boatmeal. Haha

Ahhh well, you can't like everything, right? Even if you did make it! I, on the other hand, thought it was pretty tasty. Though I would bake it a lot longer, and in an actual oven. We popped them in a toaster oven for a bit in the class.

If you'd like, go HERE to download the recipe.

Good job, girls! A fun way to get out of the house!

Afterwards, we did a little bit of shopping and then went out to lunch. Yum! Thanks for the fun, friends!! We love you.

With love,
Mama Hauck
