Soap Making

Last updated December 2019.

Soap making has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Ditching toiletries with yucky ingredients in them is a top priority for me. If I can't find a suitable clean option, I make it.

After Timothy started Kindergarten back in 2017, it was time to dive in. I did a lot of reading and research before starting (a must!!). I even had a hands on lesson from my friend, Amanda! Lucky me!

I have only been making soap for about 2 years, so am nowhere near perfect at it (and could never hope to be!), but I am truly enjoying learning as I go along and can tell I'm getting better at it and finding my own niche in the soap making world. I know the ingredients I love to use, those that I want to stay away from, and the style that best suits my abilities and personality.

What first started out as making soap for my own kiddos, has turned into making soap for extended family and selling to friends, co-workers, online, and at bazaars! I'm having a blast!
