Our Little Song Bird

Molly has really been progressing with her voice lessons! She's gone every Thursday for 2 months now and is just loving it! She's mastered "Lean on Me" and "I've Been Working on the Railroad." Other songs she's currently working on include "This Little Light of Mine" "Three Little Birds" "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." 

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Especially Three Little Birds. She's going to make this Mama cry with that one.  

James is proving to be a fantastic voice coach for Molly. We really dig him. He's very kind, patient, and encouraging. Molly has a tendency to be shy when it comes to singing in front of others (.....in her room when she thinks no one is listening? Yeah, completely different story!) and so James is working with her on opening up and giving a song her all. She's got it in her, it's just a matter of finding that confidence and really going for it. 

It'll come.

Keep up the great work, Little Miss Molly Lynn! Some of these songs are tough, like Over the Rainbow, but you stick with it and progress every week! I truly enjoy listening to you and watching you learn and grow! 


In other news, we learned that James, Molly's voice coach, wrote and performed this year's Cherry Festival Video (a festival that happens every April in The Dalles, OR)! Isn't that so awesome!? We were so excited when we watched the video, recognized his voice, and saw him in it! Molly's pretty darn proud of the fact that her voice coach is "famous." Hahaha We told him next time he does something like that to let us know and Molly can be in the background. ;)
