Happy Easter

The Friday before Easter, we dyed our Easter Eggs! I think these are my favorite eggs yet, they turned out super pastel and pretty! Great job, kiddos!

Last year Anthony learned there wasn't really an Easter Bunny. That was sad for him (and us), but because of this, he could now participate in the Easter set up! He stayed up after the other two had fallen asleep and got to help out, which he was totally excited about. He helped hide a few eggs outside, fill and arrange Molly and Tim's Easter Baskets, and leave a candy trail. He got a kick out of helping, and I'm thankful he's been a good sport and a big boy and not spilled the beans to Mols and Tim.

After Anthony had gone to bed and fallen asleep, I put his basket out and wrote him a personal thank you note for being such a kind helper.

After baskets, we had an Easter Egg hunt inside with the eggs we dyed! I love watching the kids run around trying to find the eggs! No one dropped one either (except me that is)! Breakfast was simple: toast, bacon, sausage, and hash-browns.

After breakfast, we headed outside for the real Easter Egg hunt! Those eggs had candy and money in them! Usually we do this hunt inside, but as the kids get older, we've done more eggs and it's been fun to spread them out over a bigger area. Plus, the weather was super nice!

Anthony had only hidden 5 eggs the previous night, so it was still fun for him to run around finding eggs. Timothy found the most eggs, but Anthony found the hardest one - in the lantern hanging on the tree! And Molly wound up collecting the most money!

The remainder of the day was such a nice and mellow one. We really love being able to stay home for Easter! We watched two movies - "Sing" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." We also had a lot of outside play time and got in some yard work while too Sammy smoked ribs on the smoker for dinner! YUM!

Happy Easter, love our little Hunny Bunnies!

With love,
Mama Hauck
