We started a new tradition with going over to Grandma Cathy's for Christmas Eve! We got there at about 12:30, so we had the whole day! The kiddos played games, we watched White Christmas and A Christmas Carol, ate a delicious dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, soup, and salad, and opened our gifts from Grandma. We also played a gift game where everyone takes turns rolling two dice; when you roll a double, you pick a gift. When all the gifts are taken, you have a 30 second round to roll a double and steal another person's gift. At the very end, you open the gifts you've gotten! The kids thought the game was a hoot. Thanks, Grandma, for all the fun!
After we got back home, we continued on with our Christmas Eve Traditions. The kiddos wrote their notes to Santa......
We dumped our homemade reindeer food out in the yard.....
The kiddos opened up their Christmas Eve gift.....a Santa mug and snack mat!
And finally, set out Santa's milk and cookies!
We're all ready!!
Another wonderful and magic filled Christmas Eve! I have to wonder how many more Christmases we will have with all three kids believing in Santa. I think this year might be the last for Anthony.
With love,
Mama Hauck
