Winter Wonderland

The kids sure are having a blast with the snow we've been getting recently! They've officially dubbed the Hauck Homestead a "Winter Wonderland!" And now that the kids are on winter break and there's no school, and Sammy is home on vacation from work, I can enjoy it too! No worrying about getting the kids to the bus stop and if the bus driver can even make it out to get the kids in the first place and where we're going to meet if she can't get down the hill.....that's such a headache. 

We've gotten a mix of snow and rain over this past week or so. I'm not a fan of the freezing rain, though I do have to admit it's great for photographing, and the kids don't seem to mind as it adds that "extra slipperiness" for sledding. Every morning they get their snow gear on and bust out the front door to get in some early morning sledding and outside fun. These particular photos were taken after we got a coating of ice on top of a nice snowfall. 

Its so fun watching your babies have fun! 

Welcome to our icy and snowy Hauck Homestead Winter Wonderland! 

We now have more fresh snow on top of all that ice, courtesy of yesterday morning's snowfall! So pretty out here in the country! 

I hope everyone else has been able to get out and enjoy the snow as well! Maybe the snow will even stick around for Christmas this year!
