Countdown to Summer Vacation!

The kiddos are out of school in exactly a week, that means they have 5 days of school left. 5 days! The countdown was officially on at 30 days, but now that there's only 5, well, the excitement really starts! And the countdown is really on!

Ohhhhhhh summer!!! Do we have grand plans for you!!

The kiddos' Grandpa comes on the 19th for a two week visit. We always look forward to him flying out. We have a super secret 5 day, 4 night camping trip planned for the kids in celebration of Anthony and Molly's birthdays. They have no idea, and we've invited some friends, so it truly is going to be a blast! Anthony gets to spend 9 days with my Aunt on Whidbey Island having fun and visiting. My birthday is on July 14th (wink-wink). We'll also make sure to go berry picking, go to the pool, go to the library, go to the park, go out to lunch, go out to dinner, etc. We'll take our annual trip to the Oregon Coast in July as well. I look forward to that trip all year. The kids will take off to my Mom's in CA for a few weeks in August. They really look forward to that! I think its good for them to get out of the house, go be away from home, go explore. As for Sam and I, we really look forward to that time too, we miss the kids, of course, but that's our wind down time....

....or maybe not, because we will for sure be busy with the Goldendale Farmers Market every 1st and 3rd weekend throughout the whole summer and working on crafts to keep up with that. Then there is the Cub Scouts....fun and exciting for sure, but also tons of work that we have done something with in some way, shape, or form almost daily. Then there is the endless list of house and yard to-dos to get done over the summer. I'm not exaggerating when I say endless. It truly is.

Ahhh yes, 5 more school days and then hello summer! Bring it on!
