2014 School Photos

I'm late to posting these, but gosh....the kids' 2014 school photos came in and they turned out awesome!

Molly, Kindergarten, age 5.

Anthony, 2nd Grade, age 7.

And just because we can't leave sweet Timothy out, Mama took his "school photo" too. :) Timothy, school of Mama, age 2.

What pretty little smiles on my babies. :)

Gratitude Journal, Month 4

Today marks exactly 4 months since I started my Gratitude Journal. Every night, as I crawl into bed, I take out my journal and I think of 5 things I am grateful and thankful for on that particular day. It can be anything, big or small. Things I am continuously thankful for, or things that came up that day that I am newly thankful for. Things like this....

Listening to Timothy and Molly sing Frozen
Getting in a nap
Lindt chocolate
Date night with Sam
Anthony calming Molly's first day of school jitters
Creamer for my coffee
Finally a new windshield for the car
Space heater in my bathroom
Not getting lost in the corn maze...left turns only!
Sleeping in
My mother being a phone call away
Big profit day at the Farmers Market
A trip to my favorite beach
Peaches from the neighbor to make peach cobbler
Hearing Timothy say "Good night, Mama" in his sweet voice
Getting the last slice of pizza
My cowgirl boots
Watching the kids play in the sprinkler
New neighbors
The view from my front porch
The ability to eat a big slice of humble pie
A long, hot bath
Custom orders
Motivation to conquer the to-do list today
Brunch and girl talk with Tracie
Watching Molly find the courage to get out on the mats and wrestle
Having control of the TV remote
Texting my dad
Baby wipes
Early bed time
Reading with Anthony and watching his growth
King size hotel bed
Cutting my losses
Scary movie night
Dunkin Donuts
Timothy in footie pajamas
Friend Molly always understanding and never judging
Rolling with the punches
Digging my toes in the sand
Candy from the kids' candy bags...they'll never know
Removing FB and e-mail from my phone
Maple syrup samples
"Good Night, Vermont"
A trip down memory lane
Grandma bought me a coffee and lemon pound cake
Collecting pine cones with Timothy
Glade plug-ins, pine scented
Tommy's visit to the Hauck Homestead
Antique shops
Turtle night lights
New sheets
The sunrise that greats me each morning after the bus stop
Awesome parent-teacher conferences
Being able to forgive and move on
Chocolate chip pancakes
Laughing while playing Wii Dance
The look on their faces when they saw the tree fort
I live where I live
Sam surprising me with dessert at soccer practice
Safe flight home
Peeking through the kids' door after they've all fallen asleep

I can feel a change. I don't dwell on the negative as much. I don't stay as angry or sad as long. I'm quicker to bounce back from a sad or frustrating situation. I roll with the punches and let things roll off my shoulders a lot better than in the past. It has truly helped me, in many ways, to keep this daily gratitude journal for the past 4 months. My goal is to do it for a full year. I encourage you to start one as well!!

Fritz Mother-Daughter Photos

This past weekend sure was a busy one! I not only did a photo shoot on Saturday, but I did one on Sunday as well. Sunday's shoot was of sweet Kayden and her Mama. I did their photos this time last year as well. It's so fun to see the same faces, year to year, staring back at me as I snap their picture! :)

Today, when the kids get out of school, the family and I will hit the road and be gone for a week to my Mother's in CA for Thanksgiving. We were going to leave early tomorrow morning, but decided to drive half way today and stop over night at a hotel and continue the drive tomorrow. It's a good 11-12 hour drive...and with potentially yucky roads....just makes more sense to leave today. So excited! Grandma Hauck will be holding down the fort for us and caring for the animals. Awesome. Thanks, Grandma!

End of Soccer, Beginning of Wrestling

Anthony's last soccer game was a month ago, on October 18th. Wow, how has it been a month since the end of soccer already!? We had another wonderful soccer season and I really, REALLY enjoyed watching him play and grow in skill. The verdict is still out on whether he will want to play next year, as I have heard through the grape vine that other boys will be doing football instead. Anthony has showed interest in football as well. So I guess we will see. He keeps asking me what I want him to play...but I tell him it's not about me. What do you want to play? I think he doesn't know yet. And that's just fine. We have a whole year to figure it out.

In the mean time, wrestling has started! We love wrestling!

This is Anthony's 3rd year wrestling and we have really seen some growth in him! I'm hoping we can get him to a few wrestling tournaments this year. It's so awesome watching him have a good time and grow in skill. He makes me so proud.

Molly has shown interest in participating this year as well....but she is a hard nut to crack. She'll seem all about it one minute, and then refuse to get out there on the mat the next minute. She's gotten out there a few times for the wrestling part, but doesn't want to do the warming up/stretching/running. I've told her she can't pick and choose what she wants to do. If she wants to participate, she does it all. I think it's going to take a few weeks for her to really warm up, but I'm hoping she'll come around. She does really well when she does work up the courage to get out on the mat! And my new neighbor's children are there as well, including her sweet daughter Montana. So Molly gets to wrestle with her. Watching them learning to wrestle makes me laugh, it's so fun! The big smiles on their faces is awesome.

As for Timothy....he's still a wee too little to wrestle.....but that doesn't keep him from wanting to join in on the fun!

Vaughn Family Photos

Lacey is such a sweet Mama. I have done multiple photo shoots for her over the past few years. Our most recent one was her 2014 Christmas style family photos I did this past weekend. Her daughter is just the sweetest and has the most beautiful sparkling blue eyes.
