The 4th, Kicking Off Summer the Right Way

A little late to share with you some cute photos of our 4th of July, but better late than never.

Every year for the 4th of July we head into town for Goldendale's Community Days. We checked out the booths they had at the courthouse lawn and let the kids jump in the bouncy houses. I was sad we didn't have the little carnival rides like last year on main street, but oh well. After checking out what was going on in town, we met up with some friends at the fairgrounds for Goldendale's 40th annual Demolition Derby. Ohhh what fun it was! I even got a face and shirt full of dirt, spit out into the audience by one of the trunks. I could have done without that, but you know, kinda added to the thrill, lol.

Later that day we all got together at my friend's house for a mighty good meal and some fun with sparklers, smoke bombs, and other little goodies. The kids had such a great time! When it got dark we had a great view of the fireworks people were setting off in town. Super fun to sit around and watch the kids enjoy the evening while eating a juicy burger and some berry cobbler.

So far our summer has been amazing! We celebrated the two older kiddo's birthdays with a fun birthday party, we had a great 4th of July, we had the most amazing camping trip, and we've continued our adventure with the farmers market. Coming up next is my birthday, hopefully some new family photos, a super fun beach trip, and spending some time at home without the kids as they will be taking a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's in CA. I hope everyone else is enjoying their July!

With love,
Mama Hauck
