Proud Mama

Yesterday I took the kids to the dentist ( 1 Mama, 3 kiddos.....you get the picture....) and Anthony did something amazing. I thought the kids' appointments were one after the other, but they were actually at the same time. So while I was dealing with little Molly, Anthony went and got x-rays and a cleaning all by himself. Holy smokes! How impressive is that!? Considering 6 months ago when we were there he cried when they even talked to him about x-rays and the likes! What a big boy.

Tuesday I was helping Anthony write a letter to Santa (already, haha!) when Molly came up to me and asked me to help her write her name. We've been practicing spelling her name aloud, so writing it is the next step. I told her what letters to write and by golly she freaken did it! I don't know if it was just a fluke or what, but it damn sure looks like "molly" to me! Did I mention she just turned 3?

Monday Timothy laughed for the first time (other than the little giggle he did in his sleep last month) and it was simply FANTASTIC! He has laughed 3 days in a row now and is all big smiles now a days. I'm so excited to watch his silly little personality develop.

I'm forever proud of my children.

It's moments like these I am reminded that my children are constantly growing and changing. There is no rewinding or holding back the hands of time. All our yesterdays will be but a memory that I carefully fold up and tuck away in my heart.

With love,
Mama Hauck

  1. I took Piper and Calvin to the dentist for the first time a few weeks ago and I was so proud of them. I couldn't go in the room with them when they got their xrays and they each did such a good job without me. I have to take Ethan for the first time in a few weeks and I'm a little nervous about that. He doesn't even like me to help him brush his teeth so I don't know how he's going to handle a stranger trying to get in there, lol

  2. Oh that's great!! The dentist can be scary, so it's nice to hear they did so well! I hope Ethan's visit goes just as smooth! Maybe he wont mind someone else asking him to open his month? Maybe he just doesn't want to listen to his Mama. Hehehe
