Quick Update

We took my father back to the airport yesterday. If you recall he flew in from NY on June 23rd and was with us until July 8th. This explains my absence from my blog. It was hard to see him go, but there are many more adventures to come our way this summer that we are excited about.

I have sooooo much to show and tell ya'll, but hardly any time to do it. So here's a short little ditty:

The kiddo's had fun birthdays (Anthony is now 5 and Molly 3! WAH!!) and a killer good birthday party that had a fantastic turnout. Timothy had an ultrasound for his sacral dimple (remember I talked about that?) and I am now able to breathe a huge sigh of relief as all is well with that! I had a dermatologist appointment for the scar on my chest I hate so much and so far am seeing stellar results. I'm having a stressful time breastfeeding. I think Timothy has a touch of acid reflux (Molly did for a little while when she was an infant) and it's starting to wear me down as he turns rotten in the evenings and can sometimes be inconsolable. We all, Grandpa included, made a trip to Whidbey Island (where I use to live and met Sammy) over the 4th of July to visit some family and friends. We had a good visit and I especially enjoyed going to the beach. We even went to a parade, the kids' first one ever! We completed a few family projects I had wanted to get done. We got the kids a bunny we renamed Penelope. And last but not least, my birthday is on the 14th and I'll be turning 26! My mom and dad both graciously gave me a nice sum of money to spend on myself (something I hardly ever do) and I've been able to buy myself a very much needed new wardrobe and it has been much appreciate!

I would get busy telling you all about everything right now, but we are currently gearing up to hit the road tomorrow to head to Montana and then Minnesota to visit family on Sam's side. It's going to be a ridiculously long car ride that I'm sure will have me crying by the end (please pray for me, lol!), but we are all looking forward to the trip regardless. It will be everyone's first time meeting Timothy....and some even Molly as we haven't been back out that way since Anthony was 1!

I hope to bring this neglected blog up to speed in a few weeks. In the mean time, I've got just enough free time to post a few photos. Enjoy and catch ya'll later!

Molly (purple shirt) and Anthony (gray/white stripped shirt) ready to blow out their candles.

Sammy and I at one of the beaches on Whidbey Island.

Having a good time while visiting some friends on the Island.

Shooting guns with Grandpa and shooting bows with Papa! :)

Sweet group photos with Grandpa.

With love,
Mama Hauck

  1. OHHHH ... that is a long road trip, indeed! I'll keep you in my thoughts! Ha!

I'm sure you weren't looking for advice, but doctors thought Josephine had acid reflux, and it turned out I actually had oversupply, so if you get a minute, read through and make sure it's not that, because that is something that is easy to fix! :)

  2. * I'm always happy to see you spending time with your father, that time is so rare and valuable. I have a feeling the kids look up to their grandad as kind of a hero, no?
    * Relieved to hear that Timothy's dimple is not a concern.
    * I'm sorry to hear about your difficulty feeding as I know how important it is to you to be able to nurse. Any idea how long the reflux could last?
    * Whidbey Island...I bet that was an amazing and familiar feeling. I love reading about your visits.
    * The kids had never been to a parade before, really?
    * Will we get pics of Penelope?
    * I think a certain someone might have your birthday marked on his calendar somewhere, maybe even at work. ;)
    * Your folks' present is one of the best thing that could have happened, you're always sacrificing so much for the family and it makes me happy to see you getting treated.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip to see Sam's side of the family. If you haven't been back since Anthony was one it's like they'll be meeting the kids for the first time!
