Happy March 1st!

Yesterday I was very displeased to wake up and see snow covering the ground. Boo. Thankfully the first day of March has seen it all melted away. I hope no more is in our future! I'm beyond ready for sunshine, warmer weather and seeing green grass! The kids are feeling significantly better. Still some coughs here and there, but overall back to normal. I was able to take Anthony to school yesterday, but boy did it take a toll on me waking up at 6 and hustling to get the kids out the door. Waking up early feels extra horrendous when you're barely getting any sleep as it is. I felt drained and just not well all dang day yesterday and when Sam got home, I took a bath and then coxed him into a foot rub while I snuggled on the couch with my blanket, a pillow, a heating pad and a turkey sandwich. ;)

I'm looking forward to March. On the 14th, Sam's good friend Nic who lives in Sacramento, CA is coming to visit with us till the 21st. He made the trip out our way last May and we went to visit him and his family over Thanksgiving. It'll be nice to have him here for that week since he's really gun-ho on helping me around the house and with the kids. I told him and Sam their project can be painting Molly's room! I have a pretty light blue picked out, but not the energy nor desire to do the painting myself. Anthony also has a little Leprechaun St. Patty's Day parade in town the morning of the 16th for preschool. It'll be nice to have Nic here and with Papa taking that day off, Anthony will have many fans on the sidewalk. :)

I wanted to let ya'll know that the special story I have been wanting to share on my blog has taken me all week to write and is finally ready. However, I sent it to my friend to read over first. It's important to me that I get all the facts right and allow her to let me know if she wants something added, left out, rephrased, etc. I hope to bring you that post shortly and I really hope you will take the time to read it.

I also wanted to share this super cute photo of Molly. We went to Toys R Us (it's connected to Babies R Us) and it was the very first time the kids had been in a huge toy store like that. Papa and Anthony went off to look at cool boy toys while Molly and I headed for the baby doll sections. She cracked me up when she plopped herself in a little chair and proceeded to play with all the toys like she owned them already.

With love,
Mama Hauck

  1. I can't wait to read your story. Molly is the cutest in that chair and of course she owns those toys!! I don't see anyone else playing with them. Enjoy your time with Nic. Love you all! Mom and Grandma
