Turning 25

I arose at 6:30am my birthday morning so that I could spend some quite time alone before the kids woke up. I lite my favorite smelling candle....root beer....grabbed a green tea and my container of raspberries and sat down on the couch with my fluffy blanket. I finished working on my photos from my last photo shoot and got caught up on FB and reading other's blogs. Mols woke up at 8 and came and snuggled next to me on the couch. We fed each other raspberries. :)

After Anthony woke up it was breakfast, horse feeding, and showers. It was a fairly typical day of playing with the kids and stuff. It was cool and windy out and the sun refused to stay out which was a bummer. The UPS guy came and delivered a box from my dad filled with cookies and twizzlers. The kids and I had a fun time popping all the bubble wrap in it, they love that stuff! I got a few birthday calls through out the day which was super nice. I kept telling Anthony, "You have to be nice to me and be a good boy! It's my birthday!" and he would go, "Ohh! I forgot! Ok, Mama, I'll be a good boy!" Hahaha Another time Anthony says, "Oh, Mama! Are your friends coming over? Are they going to sing Happy Birthday? Are you having cake?" I said, "I don't know, Anthony. Did you buy me a cake?" and he says,"Oh no. I forgot to buy you a cake." all frowny face and stuff. HA!

Sam got home from work a bit early and gave me a card from my mom and sister that had come in the mail. Molly wanted it, but I explained to her that it was mine, lol, I don't think she cared. We then decided it would be a swell idea to call our friends and go out to dinner in celebration of my birthday! I'm so glad we did that! We went to The Windy Ridge where I was presented with two bottles of wine, one from my friends Kurt and Tracie and the other my favorite plum wine from the OR coast from my friend Tim. Drinks and dinner were ordered, I took a shot that tasted like Christmas, people laughed and chummed it up, kids giggled and got ketchup everywhere, I was ordered a drink and was sung happy birthday, and it was a GREAT night. :) I am very thankful for the friends I have found here and work hard to cultivate those relationships.

No birthday cake, much to Anthony's dismay. But maybe we'll stick some candles into something else just so I can blow them out. :)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! 25 feels like 24. :)
With love,
Mama Hauck
