I really need to stop showering. And feeding the horse. And putting away laundry. And emptying the dishwasher. And any other activity that requires me to leave the presence of the children for more than 5 seconds.
This little big masterpiece was done while I was in my bedroom for all of 4 minutes folding and putting laundry away. I wondered why Anthony and Molly ran out of his bedroom all scared like and sat on the couch in silence when I came out and asked what they were up to.
Once I found it, I called both of them into the room and Anthony proceeded to tell me "Sorry!" a million and one times over and even threw a "I did this for you, Mama!" in there like that would somehow get him out of trouble.
*sigh*
I was NOT happy when I first saw this. I might have even teared up a little bit. Maybe....out of frustration. But on closer inspection, I saw that cute little smiley face and just busted out laughing (though I tried to hide the fact that I was laughing cause what kind of Mama would I be if I actually condoned closet drawings!?) A cool one, that's what kind.
I'm leaving this one up for Papa to see when he gets home, you know, cause Anthony is so dang proud of it and all. Doesn't that smiley face just get ya? :)
Teach me for keeping crayons in reach of a child standing on a chair. And doing laundry.

It's a 50/50 mix of cuteness and suckiness. I wonder if there's a parent around who can't say their kids did this at one time or another.

With everything else we have to remember, it's so hard to think of EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE THING THEY COULD DO THAT WE DON'T WANT! Don't beat yourself up, at least most crayons are washable.

Well calculated indeed. :)I feel as if the only for sure way to prevent unwanted occurrences is to put them in a padded room and lock the door....and we all know the only one who's going to be in a padded room with a locked door are the Mamas. :)
