Battle Wound

This would be the bruise on my thigh. I think it's from hitting the saddle horn. You can't tell from the photo cause I'm flattening it out, but it's pretty swollen....like a little tumor, lol. My rope burn on my hand is better now, so that didn't warrant a photo.

My body feels like it got hit by a truck. Just like I thought, yesterday when I woke up I was a hurtin' a lot more than Wednesday night. What I didn't expect was to be a hurtin' even more today. Every dang muscle in my body aches and I've developed a weird walk to keep my bruise from rubbing against the other leg. HA.

All I want to do is lay up on the couch and snuggle with my babies. Too bad I've got a lot to do today house work wise. Our friend is also having a housewarming party tonight, so we'll be off to that as well. As long as I can kick back on his plush couch and enjoy a drink or two, I think I'll be alright.

Tomorrow, as I already mentioned, we'll be heading out of town with our friends to celebrate their boys' birthdays. We're excited to get out of town and enjoy the day and Anthony's excited to play with his "best friends" as he told me the other day. :)

I hope you all enjoy your Mother's Day on Sunday and get lots of hugs and kisses from your kiddos! Every year everyone who lives on my road gets together to help shovel gravel, fill pot holes, etc. etc. This year it was decided that May 8th would be the day to do this. Guess no one realized it was Mother's Day. Poop. I think it's being done in the middle of the day too, so Sam will be off doing that. Maybe a picnic and walk with the family after the road stuff? That'd be swell!

With love,
Mama Hauck

  3. The saddle horn? Ouch, might as well take a hammer to your thigh. But I'll tell ya, you're one of the toughest women I know. I hope you all have a great weekend !

Haha. Yeah, the saddle horn. Makes me wince picturing being thrown in the air and landing back on it.
